What Social Security pays for

Thailand's Social Security dental benefit: “For extractions, fillings, scaling and wisdom tooth surgery, the insured person is entitled to the medical fees actually paid, 900 baht per visit per year” (our translation of “การถอนฟัน อุดฟัน ขูดหินปูน และผ่าตัดฟันคุด ให้ผู้ประกันตนมีสิทธิได้รับค่าบริการทางการแพทย์เท่าที่จ่ายจริง 900 บาท/ครั้ง/ปี”, Social Security Office) It names no orthodontic treatment.

Travelling for treatment

Getting Invisalign in Thailand as a visitor: the check-ups that follow

Aligners are not a single appointment. Invisalign: “Your doctor will also schedule a series of regular, face-to-face check-ups to give you each new batch of aligners and monitor the progress of your new smile.” (Invisalign)

  • The Australian Dental Association, in 2024. “ADA President Dr Scott Davis has said while some patients received good care overseas, he saw others return with major issues.” (Australian Dental Association)
  • The CDC. “Travelers may need to get health care in the United States if they develop complications after returning. Follow-up care for complications might be expensive.” (CDC) “Check the qualifications of the clinician who will be doing the procedure and the credentials of the facility where the procedure will be done.” (CDC)
  • The American Dental Association. “You should consider arranging follow-up care with a U.S. dentist prior to travel to ensure continuity of care upon your return.” (ADA)

Every brand's FDA reports and recalls are on the safety record.

Common questions

How much does Invisalign cost in Thailand?

Clinics set the price, and some publish it. InvisibleBraces is an informational data platform, not a dentist, an orthodontist, or a seller of aligners. Nothing here is dental or medical advice, a diagnosis, or a recommendation to start, stop, or change any treatment. At-home clear aligners are not right for every case, and moving teeth without an in-person exam carries real risk. Data is aggregated from public sources and each brand's own terms and can be incomplete or out of date.
